On Saturday, March 1, 2025, Rosewood Miyakojima opened on Miyakojima Island, Okinawa, for the first time in Japan. Rosewood Miyakojima welcomes guests with the Ryukyu spirit derived from the nature and culture of Miyakojima and a new era of luxurious hospitality.

The architecture and design of Rosewood Miyakojima is rooted in the history, landscape, and culture of the Ryukyu Islands and emphasizes sustainability and harmony with the natural environment.
All 55 guest rooms are available in two types, villas and houses, and each room overlooks the breathtaking azure waters of Miyako Island.


The dining experience is rooted in its island origins, from reimagined local delicacies to longevity dishes rich in vitamins and minerals unique to Ryukyu cuisine.


“Asaya Spa” is inspired by the lifestyle and culture of Okinawa, known for its longevity. The spa will offer a healing experience for body and soul through a special menu that reflects Okinawa traditions and rituals, including treatments that incorporate traditional Okinawa therapies and “medicine for life” treatments that use herbal warm compresses and sea salt from Miyakojima. In addition, LAPIDEM and Rosewood Miyakojima will offer “Synergy Flow,” an original treatment menu.
There will also be yoga excercises by the instructor , and a martial arts experience unique to Miyakojima, which originated in Okinawa, the birthplace of karate! A yoga studio and fitness center are also available.
